Ricky Young
Managing Director
Ricky has been with Proelectrical for over 15 years, joining in 2010 as a Registered Electrician and progressing through to full ownership. An EWRB Electrical Inspector with OS1010 livening certification and a Certificate IV in Electrical – Instrumentation, he specialises in industrial and electrical control systems, underground cable fault location, and utility locating.
Working towards his Private Pilot Licence, Ricky enjoys getting up in the air, grows his own vegetables, volunteers at the Napier Repair Café and also Sustainable Hawke’s Bay.
Andy Buckley
Engineering & Business Development Manager
Andy brings over 40 years of industrial electrical engineering experience across automation, power quality, and control systems. Joining Proelectrical in early 2025, he leads our engineering capability in VSDs, instrumentation, and complex technical project delivery.
Away from work, Andy can be found at the pool table or out on his motorbike.
Av Sivewright
Administration Manager
Av keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes, managing accounts, invoicing, bookkeeping, and client communications.
Av has a passion for travel and discovering new places — from famous landmarks to quiet backroads. Back home, she tends a garden with a soft spot for tropical plants.
Jason Sayer
Residential & Commercial Lead
Jason started his apprenticeship at Proelectrical in 2006 and has been with us ever since. With nearly two decades of experience, he leads our residential and commercial operations and holds OS1010 livening certification. He has developed strong project management skills across new home builds and housing subdivisions throughout Hawke's Bay.
A cricket lover through and through, Jason enjoys the game whether he’s playing or watching, and makes the most of his time with family and friends.
Jinesh Saini
Automation & Design Engineer
Jinesh brings over 10 years of automation and instrumentation engineering experience across oil and gas, power, and process sectors. He delivers PLC and RTU programming, AutoCAD electrical drawings, and instrumentation work across wastewater and water pumping station assets.
When he’s not at work, Jinesh enjoys a game of cricket, exploring new places, and spending time with family.
Mark Johnston
Registered Electrician
Mark has been with Proelectrical since 2010 and has over 15 years of continuous involvement in wastewater and water pumping station projects. Known for exceptional fault-finding skills and a commitment to quality, he is a key part of our field delivery team.
When he’s not on the tools, Mark enjoys travelling and exploring new places with friends and family.
Jason Shaw
Registered Electrician
Jason has been dedicated to wastewater and water pumping station electrical maintenance for over eight years, covering preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and 24/7 emergency response across drinking-water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities.
Jason unwinds on the open road on his motorcycle or out on the trails for a bush walk.
Giri Pillai
Registered Electrician
Giri brings 17 years of industrial electrical experience across wastewater, water pumping stations, oil and gas, and food processing. His skills span MCC and switchboard maintenance, VSD commissioning, thermal imaging, and AutoCAD documentation.
At home, Giri enjoys gardening and growing his own vegetables, and values time spent with family.
Jackson Haines
Apprentice Electrician
Jackson began his apprenticeship with Proelectrical in 2022 and is nearing the completion of his qualification. He has developed strong practical skills across industrial sites with a particular aptitude for VSD and instrument programming and control system documentation.
Outside of work, Jackson stays active through football, golf, the gym, and various water sports, and values time with friends and family.
Connah Fell
Registered Electrician
Connah joined ProElectrical in 2026 bringing five years of experience across residential and commercial electrical installations. A fully qualified electrician, he has a strong background in switchboard building, solar installations, air conditioning systems, and relay and contact logic, with a keen interest in industrial control systems.
Outside of work, Connah loves spending time with friends and family, taking his two dogs to the beach for morning walks and swims, and playing video games with his partner.
James Reid
Apprentice Electrician
James made the move into electrical work after a successful career in mechanical engineering and maintenance. With hands-on experience in motor and gearbox rebuilding, fabrication, and industrial fault diagnosis, his mechanical background is a genuine asset on plant and equipment maintenance.
A natural tinkerer, James spends his spare time wood carving, working in the workshop, and gardening, with family never far away
